Teach beyond the classroom

The FreeCampus Instructor Network brings together educators and practitioners who want to help create rigorous, freely accessible learning materials. Whether you teach in a classroom, mentor a team, or explain ideas through open projects, your experience can help more people learn.

Affiliated instructors collaborate with the community on lessons, exercises, and course review. Start with a subject you know well and a contribution you can sustain.

Ways to contribute

Create

Build a learning path

Turn your subject knowledge into clear lessons, worked examples, and a sequence learners can follow.

Practice

Make ideas tangible

Design purposeful exercises, quizzes, and projects that connect explanations to practical understanding.

Review

Strengthen a course

Check accuracy, prerequisites, and learning progression. Help authors make difficult ideas easier to grasp.

Adapt

Reach more learners

Improve accessibility, translate explanations, and bring examples from different communities and contexts.

How we work together

Begin with a lesson, a review, or a course proposal. Agree on the scope with the project maintainers, then develop the material openly so others can offer feedback and help improve it.

  • Put learners first. State the prerequisites and learning goals, explain ideas clearly, and include meaningful practice.
  • Work in the open. Use the relevant project's contribution guidance and license, and credit the people and sources behind the material.
  • Welcome review. Discuss feedback constructively and check examples and exercises before sharing them.
  • Choose a sustainable scope. Talk with maintainers about the time you can give and how the material will be maintained.

Meet the instructors
